“I’m not an idiot!” – A Letter from an Agonized Adult Learner

Great post from Geeta Bose at http://geetabose.blogspot.com/ in which she says, in part…

please don’t attach unless really necessary December 1, 2011

Filed under: random musings — Jennifer @ 2:38 pm

This time of year especially, it seems there are lots of email invites, to company events, gatherings, etc. And someone takes the time to create a pretty document that looks like an invite, and attaches it. That’s all fine. But then there’s nothing in the body of the email. At all.

So when I’m opening the email on my phone I have to actually open the attachment to see what the heck it is because there’s nothing in the body of the email. At all. Or, when I’m opening the email on my phone, I don’t open the attachment to see what the heck it is. Instead, I delete the message.  C’mon, I can’t be the only one…

Please don’t attach unless really necessary. At least not if you want me to read it! And if you do attach a pretty invite, paste some of the text from it into the body of the message so there’s not nothing there. At all.
