Google docs (and spreadsheets) are one of my most favorite tools.
What a great way to co-edit a document, share it, refer people to it- without posting it for the world to see and edit (aka wiki) or attaching it to an email and sending it out, resulting in version 1,2,3… and mass confusion.
It means my kids don’t have to email documents to themselves, or haul flash drives around, when they’re going from school to home and back again. And it means that I don’t have to maintain copies of documents on my notebook at home and my desktop at the office. We can all work within google- we can create a doc, save it, work some more, retrieve it, share it, save it, print it, etc. Without having to buy Word! All we need is internet access, which is always on anyway.
